Today’s Accomplishments At The Lesmeister

I haven’t posted much about progress at The Lesmeister Guesthouse lately because the progress has been tiny finish-up work, touchup painting, installation of switch plates on the walls, and other things that don’t really make for great photos. But the place was abuzz today, with the carpenters, painters, and electricians all doing some final jobs.

The kind carpenters agreed to carry the heavy headboards into the bedrooms today, and this afternoon I got the two beds put together (sideboards attached to headboards and footboards) in preparation for delivery of the box springs and mattresses Tuesday. See photos below.

Also, the electricians got the towel warmers installed in both bathrooms today and will be installing the under-counter LED lighting in the kitchens next week. Getting close to the end of this, and I’ve got to start coming up with some living room and dining room furniture!

Bed frame in The Laurel apartment. This room has a carpeted floor. The box midway up the wall to the left of the headboard offers six electrical outlets and two USB ports above nightstand level, so people can charge their phone and tablet as they use their laptop in bed! The box springs and mattresses arrive next week.
Bed frame in The Julia Dean apartment. This room has a natural wood floor. As with The Laurel, the white box to the right of the headboard offers six electrical outlets and two USB ports above nightstand level for convenience of guests needing to recharge their equipment as they recharge their bodies.

Towel warmer mounted today on the wall of The Julia Dean apartment bathroom. I installed the TV last weekend. Tomorrow I’ll install, to the right of the towel warmer, three wall-mounted pumps offering three different body lotions. Women seem to like moist, smooth, good smelling skin. I am very happy about that!

WOW! The bedroom furnishings are stunning! And heated towel racks in the baths! Fantastic! Can’t wait to get the grand tour when they are finished…and can’t wait for a weekend stay!

I don’t know if I mentioned today when you brought up furnishings, but Batesville has an excellent antique store with really nice furniture and dcorative objects.

Not all will appreciate all those electrical things being attached totheir bed, but I guess some will.

Pay no attention to my brother BC. He’s a bit of a Troglodyte, as opposed to a good nerd like I am.
