A Front Door Appears


One of the two Lesmeister Guesthouse front doors appeared today (see below), with overhead glass transom. They are beautiful, custom-made solid wood doors but must be painted to match the way the original doors would have been finished.

Inside, four of a total of six coats of joint compound have been applied to the drywall joints with the aim of making smooth walls similar to the original plastered brick inside walls. Each coat must dry and shrink a day or two before the next coat can be added.
