A Rock By Any Other Name


The first drywall (OK, go ahead and call it sheetrock) has gone up in the Lesmeister, one fo the first final finishes (photo below). In this case, it’s part of the firewall between the apartments, and it’s up in the mezzanine that will hold the water heaters and other utility devices the guests will never see, but it’s still nice to see something in place that will be there to see when it’s all finished.

The contractor has ordered the exterior doors and windows, and we’re all anxious to see those arrive. After they’re installed the building will finally be sealed up. Right now birds are still free to fly in the front, play around in the attic, and fly out the back windows!
