Goodbye Stone Columns

Architect Tommy Jameson was at the Lesmeister Guesthouse project today, and among decisions made was one to eliminate the seven stone support columns for the rear deck (see image below), and replace them with brick columns. We just couldn’t find stone that looks as wonderful as the 110-year-old locally quarried stone that forms the rear foundation of the building. So we’re going to get architectural salvage (used) brick that looks like other brick on the building, and other buildings in the neighborhood. I know it will look great!
