As we approach one year since they started work on the Lesmeister building rehabilitation project, things have finally reached the point that I can put a little “owner’s sweat equity” into the project. Today I installed a towel bar, two towel rings, and two robe hooks in The Julia Dean apartment, and a towel ring, two robe hooks, and a liquid soap dispenser in The Laurel apartment. Today in The Julia Dean apartment I installed the towel bar you see in the center of the photo, above the tile, and the two heavy duty robe hooks on the back of the door.This is another view of The Julia Dean bathroom. The door you see is a reflection in the mirror, showing my still-leaning stove pipe in the living room. I installed a towel ring left of the sinks, and another one right of the sinks. I took along some hand towels to be sure the rings were mounted high enough that the towels won’t dangle into things on the counter. There are a couple of dark areas at the far left side of the mirror and at the far right side. That’s where light fixtures will soon be mounted to light the mirrors.
