Lesmeister Update

I haven’t given an update lately on the Lesmeister project lately because there doesn’t appear to be much going on! I say “appear” because I know the workers are getting things done, but most of the work lately has been up on the roof, and they have finished pouring concrete on the main floor over recently-installed underground plumbing and electrical conduits.

I did see new, visible, evidence of activity today: they have installed the first of seven small metal plates (see the black “diamond” above the iron attic vent in the photo below) which help make sure the brick façade doesn’t begin to drift away from vertical and start someday leaning out over the sidewalk like the tower of Pisa.
