Update: Lesmeister Guesthouse Project

The final coat of paint has gone on the wood of the shed roof over the front sidewalk. It’s a rich cream color that looks very good. I think the metal support columns will eventually be painted the same color. On the right side of the photo you can see the painter on a tall ladder adding finishing touches. They expect to pour the new concrete sidewalk next Tuesday.
This nice red fire hydrant was installed behind the building this week. It’s the first time I’ve seen the huge supply line that provides water to a fire hydrant. They must provide SERIOUS water when needed! My little 3/4 inch garden hose just doesn’t compare.
The base (floor) for the shower in the Laurel apartment was installed this week. I hope they remembered to connect the drain to the sewer line! I guess it’s best to just trust the professionals. My own policy is, “trust, but verify”.
