Update: Lesmeister Guesthouse Project

New Paint — The final coat of paint has gone on the wood of the shed roof over the front sidewalk. It’s a rich cream color that looks very good. I think the metal support columns will eventually be painted the same color. On the right side of the photo you can see the painter on a tall ladder adding finishing touches. They expect to pour the new concrete sidewalk next Tuesday.

Fire Hydrant — This nice red fire hydrant was installed behind the building this week. It’s the first time I’ve seen the huge supply line that provides water to a fire hydrant. They must provide SERIOUS water when needed! My little 3/4 inch garden hose just doesn’t compare.

Shower — The base (floor) for the shower in the Laurel apartment was installed this week. I hope they remembered to connect the drain to the sewer line! I guess it’s best to just trust the professionals. My own policy is, “trust, but verify”.
