Sweet Treats!

I was so excited a few weeks ago to learn of the opening of a new bakery and coffee shop, called “Sweet Treats” just 3 doors down from the St. Charles on the town square.

My sister and I stopped in there this morning and had blueberry muffins and coffee. The young women who run it were working like trojans behind the counter. They said they’d made cinnamon rolls this morning but they sold them all by 9 a.m. While we sat and sipped our coffee, three different people came in and left with a bag of goodies. So business is good! So great to see that.

I’ll post a couple of photos below that I made with my iPhone. It’s a dark, rainy day in Pocahontas so they aren’t great photos, but imagine the smell of fresh bread baking and steaming coffee!
