The Veterans Memorial

Any visit to Pocahontas should include a quick look at the Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the Randolph County courthouse, on Broadway Street just across the town square from The St. Charles. The memorial includes life-sized bronze statues of servicemen from World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War, plus plaques naming the dead from our county in those wars plus Korea and the Middle East.

There are bricks in the sidewalk naming Randolph County service members from all our wars from the Civil War forward, and benches honoring Randolph Countians who served in operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
