Workshop Series: “Green” Construction With Traditional Tools

In Randolph County’s own version of The Woodwright’s Shop, Black River Technical College’s Corporate & Community Education and Office of Development will sponsor a series of wonderful hands-on workshops this fall at the sites of “the old houses,” the pre-1840 log structures near our community of Dalton.

The first workshop series, October 17-19, will teach chinking & daubing, battens, and flooring of log cabins. The second series, October 31-November 2, is on constructing a shaving horse and furniture, and the final series, November 14-16, features construction of post-and-rail and paling fences from renewable resources.
