Gallery Stroll

Downtown art galleries and stores will be hosting their first Gallery Stroll of 2012 this Thursday, March 1, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Participating businesses include The Gallery on the Square, Black River Beads and Pottery, Sweet Treats Bakery, Studio B, The Treasure Chest, Marilyn’s Clogging Company (free Taekwando demonstration that evening), Nan’s and Ben’s fleas markets, Computer Corner, and The Black Pearl Restaurant will be open for dinner that evening. Several businesses will offer refreshments and treats that evening.

Also, the Gallery on the Square is hosting an Ugly Lamp Contest–strollers that evening will be allowed to vote on the winner which gets a $20 prize if it’s chosen as the ugliest. People wanting to enter a lamp in the contest can drop them off at the Gallery anytime before noon on Thursday.

It’s predicted to be a beautiful evening thursday, clear with temperatures in the 70s.  Come on down and stroll the old square, have dinner, vote on the ugliest lamp, and view the facilities and businesses downtown now offers.
